Surface cleaning, rust removal and roughening of large workpieces that don’t fit into an automatic shotblasting machine or workpieces where automatic blasting would be too expensive
By means of a preservation line, steel sheets (widths can vary from 1500mm up to 3000mm) and profiles (max. heigth 500mm) are shotblasted in SA2,5 quality and painted with a temporary corrosion protection paint at an adjustable speed between 1 - 2,5 m/min. A preservation line consist of : loading and unloading cross conveyors for efficient loading / unloading , individually adapted roller conveyors, a pre-heater for wet or even ice-covered workpieces from outside storage, A roller conveyor shotblasting machine including a dustcollecting and filtering unit, a painting booth with upper and lower painting robots including waterfall type filtering unit, a slat conveyor to protect wet paint and a paint dryer unit to allow the handling of the workpieces immediately at the exit roller conveyor. To minimize energy costs, the paint dryer unit uses waste heat energy from the pre-heater.
